Catching up

Well... We've been working really hard and are starting to finally catch up! Praise God!

Today i've been working on weddings, engagement sessions and baby pictures!

I have been able to do "A year in the life of" pictures for Aaron. We have done 3 sessions so far! This was one of my favorites. He's now at the age where he is walking around and doing his own thing. This little guy is so independent. During the entire shoot all he wanted to play with was the wood chips. He wanted nothing to do with any of his toys! It's so funny because his personality is really coming out! Everytime I go over to the house he has changed so much; and that is why we are doing these pictures!!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Albums

I know i've said this so many times, but Albums are soooo important. Just think... you are hiring a photographer and paying them a lot of money to come out and capture your day so that it is perfect and you can remember every moment. In the end you will have a ton of amazing pictures to look at; but what do you do with them all. Yes, you could get the DVD of negatives, but then you still just have a lot of pictures. Yes, you could order pictures, but then you still will only have a few.

The best thing to do is let us design a beautiful coffee table book album for you! You get a ton of images in a beautiful album that is yours to cherish for the rest of your lives. It's something that you can show your friends, family, and your children.

I just finished Sarah and Chad's album. You probably will remember the pictures that were on the blog because the wedding was in April. Well I think it turned out great! Sarah and Chad will have a chance to look at this preview and then they can make some changes if they would like to. If they think it looks great then we will send it to get put together and in 1 - 2 months they will have a gorgeous book in their hands.

I am blessed

I am so blessed to be able to do what I do!!!

I just received an amazing email from one of my brides that just got married in May. It is so much fun that I had to share it with you all. I am honored!

Kim:

I do have another note on the way but I can't let another minute pass
without letting you know what an absolutely incredible experience Ron
and I had working with you. I can't think about the wedding without
crying let alone get through that slide show!!

You were absolutely phenomenal Kim - I say that knowing how much fun it was to work with you. You are truly remarkable and so incredibly talented. All that have had the opportunity to view the slideshow are in awe of your talent (and let me tell you - it is being sent to absolutely everybody - people we don't even know!!)

From the day I spoke with you on the phone last fall, I know we had a match. You were unbelievable to work with every step of the way. You made our dreams come true and created and experience that far exceeded our expectations- we are truly overwhelmed!

We can't begin to thank you enough for giving us the most memorable gift - capturing the essence of how we felt on our wedding day - for us, it was truly a magical day. We are so excited to continue working with you through the process of creating our album.

We can only hope to have the opportunity to work with you again, and again and again!!

All our best and many thanks:
Robyn & Ron Ransom

P.S. Costa Rica was fabulous..... We never left the resort!!

Michigan Bliss

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to go to Michigan to photograph Amy and Proctor's wedding. It was beautiful. I love the opportunity to travel and photograph in new places, it helps the creative spirit come out in me when I get to try to find new places to take pictures. Amy and Proctor had their wedding in Grand Rapids Michigan at the First United Methodist Church. The reception was at the Amway Grand , a beatiful hotel in downtown Grand Rapids.

The weather was beautiful to start the day off with, and then towards the end it rained; but it really cooled everything down and was a nice change from the heat of Phoenix.

Leo Morales, a friend of mine in Michigan, came along with me to 2nd shoot. It was great. He did a really good job and I was so impressed. I had the opportunity to photograph his wedding in Michigan last year and it was one week before his and Lindsey's anniversary! It was great to see them both.

If you would like to see a slideshow of the day please click here . Also, the music in the slideshow is from a good friend of mine, Don Hejny. He is an amazing musician and you should check out his music at http://www.donhejny.com.
