Morgan and Brett

I had never met Morgan until a couple of days ago. Morgan and Brett live out east and decided to get married at the Four Seasons in Scottsdale, AZ. Morgan called me up at the begining of this year and asked if I would photograph the wedding! Of course I was thrilled to! They wanted a small intimate wedding at a gorgeous location, and the Four Seasons was the perfect place . Yesterday was a beautiful Arizona Fall day; it couldn't have been any nicer.
To see a slideshow of the wedding click here.

Morgan and Brett were so cute together. Once Morgan saw Brett she relaxed and smiled the rest of the day! She was glowing!!

Thank you both for allowing me to photograph your wedding! I had a wonderful time!

Also, a thank you to Melissa Hester from Melissa Jill Photography for coming out and shooting with me. Melissa and I have become great friends and it was so much fun to have her join me! She got some amazing pictures and i'm so grateful for her friendship!!

Melanie and Chris

This last weekend we were at the Westin Kierlands Resort again! This time however, it was a little different! Melanie and Chris are not the traditional style. They like things to be different.

Instead of having a ceremony outside or at a church, they decided to get married in one of their favorite restaurants when they come and visit Arizona. Melanie is a chef so she knows when food is just ok or absolutly to die for. Well at the Deseo restaurant in Scottsdale, AZ the food gets an A+, and Melanie and Chris wanted their whole family to taste for themselves.

Melanie and Chris are from Las Vegas, their family is from the East Coast, so this was a destination wedding to the fullest.

The ceremony was held on the steps of Deseo restaurant. The meal was a 4 course meal served in the restaurant. After the ceremony everyone went out for a after dinner party to Barcelona club to dance the night away.

It was a wonderful wedding and Chris and Melanie looked stunning. Thank you guys for allowing me to share in your wonderful day! It was a joy meeting you!!!

Pictures of the event are below. If you would like to see a slideshow of the day please click here.

Friends are LifeSavers

Hey everyone! This is Mike, yesterday he single handedly saved my blog so I owe him a ton! I've known Mike for over 8 years now. WOW! When I went to Texas he pretty much got me my job which is one of the main reasons I can do what I do now. I owe him a lot.

Yesterday I found out that my blog was not showing up correctly on Internet Explorer and on Firefox. Actually it looked horrible, so i'm sorry for any of you who had to see it that way. I called Mike up and said, "please, please, please help me. I don't know where else to go." And Mike, being Mike said, no problem I can fix it in about 30 minutes. Well about an hour later he called to tell me he figured it all out! What a pure genious!!! So it is all better now and hopefully you can all really enjoy my blog now! A big shout out to Mike!!! Thank you so much!!!

Sarah and Ron

This weekend I am in Tucson for Sarah and Ron's wedding. This is a really exciting wedding for me because Sarah is one of my very best friends growing up. We have known each other forever and I am so blessed that I was able to be at the wedding and photograph the whole thing.

The event took place at an Episcopal church in Tucson. It was very very beautiful. A gorgeous day and a wonderful bunch of people.

Sarah looked exquisite. She radiated beauty! Sarah is a beautiful girl, but I have never seen her glow like she did today! She was so excited to marry Ron!

I had never met Ron and I was so excited to finally met him. He truly is a great guy and Sarah and Ron are so wonderful together. Don't they look fabulous?

When we were driving around Tucson trying to figure out where to take pictures we found this amazing location with a lot of old houses with amazing colors. The pictures turned out awesome because of the location! Seriously... a blue wall!!! How perfect!!

The other thing that was special to me is that the bridesmaids were mostly all high school friends of mine as well that I haven't been able to keep in contact with. So it was like a high school reunion and brought back so many great memories! It was so wonderful being back with amazing friend and for such a perfect event!!

Congratulations Sarah and Ron!! I wish you the very best in everything that you do! I'm so happy for you!!!

Pictage Partner Conference

On September 6 - 7 I was in LA for the Pictage conference. It really was an amazing time of learning and community! We had over 15 people from Arizona go to this conference and most of us hung out the entire time and have really become great friends! I have learned so much from this amazing community of photographers and have truly been blessed! I have learned that community really is a wonderful thing.

Above is Jen and I. Jen is a great photographer in the Arizona area and we had a blast hanging out.. she was my roomie, along with Melissa.

Pictage is a huge part of my business. I have partnered with them to do so much for me. They are how all of you view your images and they are also my wonderful lab. I have been with them for 3 years and have grown because of it! This conference was put on by them and we had some great speakers that shared so much! One of my new favorite photographers who really inspired me is Me Ra Koh. She is an awesome person and had so many great things to say. A few others how were amazing speakers were Nathan and Amber Holritz, Pepper Nix, and Davina Fear. Of course there were so many others, but I think those were some that really impacted me and hopefully will make my business even better.

I'm really excited to implement some of the things I learned to help and benifet all of you!! Davina talked about fun and different engagement sessions, Amber and Nathan talked about working from your home and how to make it work for me, Pepper Nix talked about sharing the love. There really was a lot of love going on there!!

Well, I must go. I have a wedding today in Tucson and am very very excited to show you more great images from the wedding! And to leave you with a fun picture.. this is Tim. He is a great photographer located in Florida and is a ton of fun! He took some of my pictures of me for me last time we met in Indiana and it was fun photoshoot. So here is a tribute to Tim!!

So in closing, I would LOVE to hear feedback from all of you checking out my blog! Feel free to comment and even maybe tell me what you would like to see or hear from you! I want to update this blog regularly with things that you are interested in!! Thanks everyone!!!

I will be back Friday morning, so please be patient if you are trying to get ahold of me!! I'm checking email and will respond as I can!!!

Alexis and Bruce

On sunday I had a wedding at the Westin Kierland Resort. It was beautiful! Alexis and Bruce looked Stunning. They were up for anything, even walking on the wet grass because it had rained the day before! It was worth it though because green grass really makes a picture; especially here in Arizona!! If you would like to see a slideshow of the wedding please click here!

We started early.... at 7:00 am because the wedding was at 11:30. Of course I LOVE detail shots, so I love this picture of her shoes!!

Alexis had a beautiful veil that was so long, but simple. I think Veils look so amazing in shots like this... it's kind of mysterious!

Alexis kept telling me that she had a really really fun wedding party... I was so stoked when I saw the guys walk up wearing hats and canes.. It was so fun and unique and they looked so sharp! We had an awesome time taking pictures of the guys!!

Thank you all for allowing me to be a part of your day! You both looked fabulous and I hope you love your pictures!!! I had a great time with all your family!!!

I love my job!!

People always tell me that I have the best job. And honestly, I do!

I love that I can photograph the most important times in peoples lives. A little over a year ago I photographed Katie and Josh's wedding. It was gorgeous and was such a great wedding. A couple of months ago Katie called to tell me she was pregnant and wanted me to take pictures of their new baby. We did a maternity session with them at the time and then I just waited until they called again to tell me that their brand new little boy was born.

Well a week ago I heard from Katie and Aiden DeWall was born. He is now 4 weeks and yesterday we were able to do his first portrait session. We have 2 more to go throughout his first year of life! I love this about my job.

Everyone welcome Aiden DeWall!! Isn't he a cutie!!
