Engagement Guest Book Album

Well, I am back from Pinetop and had a wonderful vacation. Once I have a chance to download the pictures off of my camera I will share some of them!

However, again, I am off traveling the world. I am on my way right now to Minneapolis to shoot a wedding on 7/7/07. A photographer friend, Preston Palmer has asked me to shoot with him and I'm really excited to see Minnesota; I have never been there before.

When I have a chance I will post more pictures of this trip as well!

But, now to my headline up above.. I have been really busy this summer working on albums. I just finished Jessica and Jim's guest book album. These albums are so neat because they are from the engagement session and work as your guest book, so that you have a unique way to show off your pictures and remember who was at your wedding. These are hot hot items and everyone wants one! To view the entire album click on the image below.

Melanie + Ryan... Engagement session:)

I have been friends with Melanie for about 5 or 6 years now. I love this girl. She is one of the happiest people I have ever met and has such a wonderful heart! Recently she and Ryan were engaged and I told her I had to be able to take their pictures... she really wanted me to do them so they set a date and booked me for the wedding. I'm so happy to be a part of it.

Melanie wanted to take pictures somewhere unique and fun. She has been going up to Payson since she was little to a natural bridge and had taken Ryan up there a couple times. They asked me if I was up for something new and of course i said yes!

So, we hiked down to a really neat canyon and climbed all around the rocks. I do have to admit I have never done a session where I had to hike up and down rocks, but we had a fun time. Below are a few of my favorites!

I made them go to a really cool rock and there was water coming down from the top that got them soaked. I couldn't see it very well when I was taking the pictures, but as you can see in some of these pictures, they were really getting wet. What troopers.

I'm so excited for your wedding Mel... You are going to be gorgeous!!!!!

Christina and Craig

Christina and Craig just relocated from Wisconsin to Arizona. Their wedding is going to be back in Wisconsin, but they wanted some engagement pictures so they called and asked if I would do that for them.

Of course I said yes and in April we headed out to Scottsdale to take some great pictures for them. I'm so excited because they are going to also order a guest book, which I think is such a great way to show off your pictures and have a great memory. We are also going to meet up soon and talk about me taking their pictures up in Wisconsin.. I love to travel so that would be so much fun!

These guys were so much fun...they wanted to make sure that we got some of the Arizona mountains in a shot and also cactus so they can show their family and friends what Arizona is like:) So we managed to get a little bit of everything and they turned out great!!

Heidi and Jake

I've been dying to post these pictures, but i'm trying to post as many days as I can, so this post had to wait till today! So glad it's going up!

This is Heidi and Jake. Heidi has been a friend of mine for over 9 years now and Jake is her husband. Now that I have finally met Jake I consider him a friend as well.. he rocked and is perfect for Heidi! While I was in Austin for Melissa's wedding I was able to take some pictures of them. They had a bad experience with their wedding pictures and told me that they don't have a good picture of the two of them. I hear this so much and it makes me so sad... so I told them that we had to go do a sort of "engagment session" with them.

We met up in Downtown Austin, which was amazing, and spent an hour or so walking all around taking some awesome pictures.

I LOVE going to new places to take pictures, it just brings so much creative freedom and I get so excited when I see cool places that will make a picture! Walking around in Austin for me was like seeing a little girl in a candy shop... I kept saying, "wait stop I see a picture", "oh stop again", "this is the last one I promise.. oh wait there is another one"!!! I couldn't get enough of it.

So, for some of you these are the pictures you have been dying to see!! Enjoy!!

Heidi and Jake, you both rock and did such a phenominal job!! I hope you LOVE them!!!

I must give credit to MaryBeth Tyson, who is another of my wonderful friends. She came along with me and shot some amazing stuff. This is one of her pieces.

This is another MB shot... I LOVED it so I had to share.

Marybeth also shot this picture, which I thought was fun.. me in action.

This is the picture I was shooting.

Driving around I saw this blue wall which just made me so happy.. It was so different and I envisioned so much with it! You will see this again in some family shots I will hopefully be able to post this week!

Engagement Guest Book Album

Engagement Guest Book Albums are so much fun! Every one of my wedding packages includes an enagement session. It is a fun, relaxed session where you can see how I take pictures and I can see how you interact as a couple. Almost everyone who does them is so happy that they did them.

Well, with the enagement session, one of the newest things people are doing is an Engagment Guest Book Album. It's a way to show off your fun amazing pictures and have a guest book at the same time. The guests will actually sign the pages. You can then put the album on your coffee table and have it as a rememberence of everyone special at your wedding.

Below is an example of what these look like. We just did Alysea and Lukes session a few weeks ago. Thier album is ready to go once they approve it!!

If you are interested in one of these just send me an email! I would love to create one for you.

Click on the images to see the actual album.

Jessica and Jim

Jessica is Melissa's younger sister. I did Melissa's wedding in November and now in September I get to do Jessica's wedding! I love it when I get to do family weddings because I already somewhat know the people who are going to be there!!

Ok, this is a cool fact about Jessica and Melissa that I just found out... they are exactally a year apart in age. Yes, they have the same birthdays but a year difference... isn't that so cool?

Jessica and Jim are living in Michigan right now going to school and they were up last week for their spring break! We scheduled their engagement session on Monday in Downtown Phoenix.

It was great, although I did make them walk a lot!! Thanks guys, you were troopers!!

We got some great pictures and I've been trying to post them up all week but i've been having blogger issues. Hopefully it all works today!!

Alysea and Luke

A few months ago Alysea's mother called and asked me to meet her and her daughter to go over my work. It was a great meeting and we hit it off. Alyesea told me that she didn't want any other photographer but me!! How flattering and humbled I was!! They booked me on the spot and I am now the photographer for their wonderful wedding in May!

I was really excited to do their engagement pictures. What a great couple.. high school sweethearts. We had so much fun! Here are a few of my absolute favorites.. we got a lot!

Jessi and Matt

Jessi is a faithful Blog watcher, so I know she has been dying to see these pictures finally posted on the blog!!

We got some really great pictures of Jessi and Matt while we were in Downtown Scottsdale. They are getting married in October and i'm so excited for their wedding!! It's going to be so much fun!! Jessi and I met a long time ago and that is when they booked me for their wedding, over a year out, so it's been fun emailing and getting to know her. The engagement session was really fun though because I did get to know them so much better and their wedding pictures are going to be AMAZING!!

Thanks guys for such a fun time! I hope you enjoy these, the rest will be up shortly!

Jeannette and Jason

Jeannette and Jason are getting married March 17th. It's not your typical wedding though. They are getting married at the Renasaince Festival. It is going to be a crazy fun party and i'm really excited. They are dressing up for the festival and most of their guests will be decked out as well. After the ceremony we are going to spend about a couple of hours enjoying the festival and taking crazy fun pictures of all the activities. We then are going to have a 7 course meal (I think) with all sorts of great entertainment!

When Jeanette first approached me to photograph her wedding I wasn't sure what to expect with the Renasaince Festival theme. I was excited and a little nervous because it is not what I am used to. However, I was up for the challenge!

I hadn't yet met Jason and I really wanted to meet him and see how they interacted as a couple. That is why we do engagement sessions and i'm so glad we do. I think at first Jason was a little hesitant.. most of the guys usually are... to be honest I hate having pictures taken of me as well, so I understand. But I don't take normal pictures, we have a lot of fun at the engagement session. In this case we went to downtown Tempe and got some really neat shots. I think a lot of these look like "Band Shots", album artwork, which is appropriate because Jason loves playing guitar!

After the session we grabbed dinner at the Four Peaks Brewery which was a lot of fun because that was really when we got to talk and I got to know Jeanette and Jason better. They are such a great couple and they really do Love each other a lot! I like that about people!!!

Thanks you two. I had so much fun taking these pictures and grabbing some dinner! Can't wait until March!

Carrine and Michael

I have known Carrine for as long as I can remember. She has been my sister's best friend forever! When she called to tell me she was engaged and wanted me to take their pictures I was thrilled! She is from my hometown Pinetop, well actually the rivalry town down the street, Showlow, but I won't hold that against her!

Their wedding is going to be at the Torreon Golf Club. I have always wanted to do a wedding there and I love weddings in the mountains! If any of you are getting married in the mountains this summer please call me! I love the cooler weather!

Anyways, Carrine and Michael were totally ready to do anything I asked of them. We found a really neat new spot around one of the local lakes here in the valley and got some really great fun shots! I love new fun locations because I can be even more creative!

The pictures turned out great and they both looked great!

Carrine, you are beautiful inside and out! Thank you for letting me take your pictures, I really am honored! Michael, you got a keeper... she is a wonderful lady!!! It has been great getting to know you as well. You are both an amazing couple!

Carissa and Bryan

When Carissa told me that she and Bryan wanted to do their engagment pictures in an art gallery I was really excited. I didn't know what to expect, but it gave me a new challenge and sounded like a lot of fun!

We went to a gallery in Scottsdale and took some great pictures. We then walked around and found some new fun locations. We had a blast and it was so great getting to know them. They are getting married in April and i'm so excited for their wedding. You can see that they truly are best friends by looking at these pictures!!

I can't wait for the big day guys!! Thanks for allowing me to take these pictures, I really had a great time getting to know you!

Downtown Chicago

I'm sorry I haven't been posting lately. We have been so busy and are trying to catch up with all the weddings and sessions that we have been doing.

I will be sharing some of my favorites over the next few months from the last sessions we have been doing.

During Thanksgiving I was able to go to Chicago to shoot Jennifer and Nick's engagement session. We had so much fun as we walked all around Downtown and took a TON of pictures.

Jennifer and Nick were a blast. They were up for anything and everything. I love how these turned out. Below are a few of my favorites and if you would like to see more you can watch a slideshow. Just Click Here to view the slideshow.

Catherine and Christopher Engagement

A couple of days ago I was able to take Catherine and Christophers engagement pictures. They are getting married in December at the Four Seasons and i'm so excited for their wedding.

Lately i've been sending out a questionaire for the engagement session so I can kind of get to know what couples like to do together. We then will decide where to do the engagement session from that questionaire.

When I got back the questionaire from Catherine I was thrilled with what I saw! They like to ride motor bikes. We decided that we would meet that day in downtown Tempe and do some fun pictures there and then head over to South Mountain and take some pictures of them with their bikes! We had a blast.

When doing engagement sessions I don't want them to be boring. I want us all to have fun. In Tempe I told them to act like they were on a date walking around town. They went into this really neat old bookstore where I was able to get some really neat shots!!

We then headed to South Mountain to get some awesome pictures with their bikes!! They were so thrilled to do this because it is something they really like to do together. By this time they had relaxed a little and we got some great pictures.
