The Graves Family

This family is one of the neatest families I have ever met!! Meet the Graves!!

These kids are wonderful.. so well behaved and we had so much fun running around Austin, TX to get some really fun pictures.

I have known of the Graves for awhile now. When I lived in Texas John was the college leader at one of the churches I went to. I never really got to get to know them really well, but my friend Melissa lived with them for a long time and through the circle of friends John called me up and asked if I would help him surprise Nicole with a family session while I was in Texas. I was so excited to be able to do this. Nicole has been following my photography for over 3 years now when I did my first wedding out in Texas, so she was so excited when she finally found out that we were doing a session.

I love things like this. I love surprises, I love catching up with old friends, and I love taking pictures of families so that they will have memories of this time in their lives.

Thank you John and Nicole for the opportunity to photograph your family. It was so wonderful getting to know you a little more and i'm so excited to get to know you more and more as the years go by!

Enjoy the pictures!!

Heidi and Jake

I've been dying to post these pictures, but i'm trying to post as many days as I can, so this post had to wait till today! So glad it's going up!

This is Heidi and Jake. Heidi has been a friend of mine for over 9 years now and Jake is her husband. Now that I have finally met Jake I consider him a friend as well.. he rocked and is perfect for Heidi! While I was in Austin for Melissa's wedding I was able to take some pictures of them. They had a bad experience with their wedding pictures and told me that they don't have a good picture of the two of them. I hear this so much and it makes me so sad... so I told them that we had to go do a sort of "engagment session" with them.

We met up in Downtown Austin, which was amazing, and spent an hour or so walking all around taking some awesome pictures.

I LOVE going to new places to take pictures, it just brings so much creative freedom and I get so excited when I see cool places that will make a picture! Walking around in Austin for me was like seeing a little girl in a candy shop... I kept saying, "wait stop I see a picture", "oh stop again", "this is the last one I promise.. oh wait there is another one"!!! I couldn't get enough of it.

So, for some of you these are the pictures you have been dying to see!! Enjoy!!

Heidi and Jake, you both rock and did such a phenominal job!! I hope you LOVE them!!!

I must give credit to MaryBeth Tyson, who is another of my wonderful friends. She came along with me and shot some amazing stuff. This is one of her pieces.

This is another MB shot... I LOVED it so I had to share.

Marybeth also shot this picture, which I thought was fun.. me in action.

This is the picture I was shooting.

Driving around I saw this blue wall which just made me so happy.. It was so different and I envisioned so much with it! You will see this again in some family shots I will hopefully be able to post this week!

The Infranco Family

This is the Infranco family. I had such a great time hanging out and taking pictures of them. Val, the mom, called and said that they wanted fun and different family pictures and that I had creative freedom.. I love that! So, we drove around and I found some very different places to take pictures. They turned out great!!!

Thanks guys for allowing me to do this. I had a blast!!!

Allison and Family

Allison called me up about a month ago to ask me to do family pictures for her family. They hadn't had a "real" family portrait in years, so I was honored to do pictures for them. Because Grandma couldn't move well we had to do the pictures close to mom and dad's house. Allison found a great park nearby and we hauled out a couple of chairs and had some great fun!!

We tried to get a mix of everything. These are all the girls. Aren't they gorgeous?

They had a little guy as well who hammed it up!!!

Grandma joined in!!

I love this picture!
